Inside the Glacier

 This tour takes you to Langjokull Glacier  for a once in a lifetime adventure deep into the glacier to explore some of the world's largest man-made icea caverns.  

The caverns are linked by extensive tunnels and the system stretches some 300m into the solid ice ending at a natural ice cave at the end,  A natural crevasse (bottomless crack in the ice underfoot) has to be negotiated via a foot bridge on the way in.  As you walk further in, the ice gets older and older and its colour graduallt changes from white to deep-blue as it changes from compacted snow ice to proper ancient glacier ice.  

The visit is educational, there is interesting information available in the caverns and the opportunity to get married in the Ice Chapel if you should so wish.
