Fontana Steam Baths and Golden Circle
This tour is ideal for those who want to combine history, natural phenomena and relaxation.
We visit three of Iceland´s most famous places: Gullfoss waterfall (Golden Falls), Geysir geothermal area with spouting springs and Þingvellir National Park, with its amazing geology and history. We also make a stop in the quaint little town of Laugarvatn, famous for its natural sauna, built above a real live hot spring. The original sauna was built in the 1920s and was little more than a shack with two compartments, built above the hot spring that bubbles and gurgles below your feet. Today, however, it takes pride of place in the über-modern Fontana Laugarvatn, and is complemented by a dry sauna plus hot tubs of varying temperatures and descriptions.
This is the perfect tour for viewing some of Iceland´s most spectacular natural phenomena, feeding your mind, and de-stressing and revitalizing your body.
Remember to bring a swimsuit and a towel.
Swimsuits and towels can also be rented on the spot.
